Steel Alloys

There are four classes of alloy steels:

  • Tool and die steels
  • Magnetic alloys
  • Stainless and heat-resisting steels

The most common grade of stainless steel being used is stainless steel 304. Stainless steel 316, however, has a number of common applications:
